1. Information kept on your device
Octivale does not require a player account. Game progress, settings, generated episode numbers, scores and purchase-entitlement state are stored locally on your device or obtained from Apple's StoreKit entitlement service. The game does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos, camera, microphone or messages.
2. Optional product analytics
Anonymous product analytics are disabled by default. If you choose to enable them in Settings, Octivale sends authored events to PostHog, such as app opening, onboarding completion, world opened, generated episode number, aggregate score or move count, hint use, episode completion, purchase events, ad format and app version. PostHog assigns an anonymous installation identifier. Octivale does not call PostHog's identify function and does not create a named player profile.
Automatic screen capture, element interaction capture, session replay, surveys, push-subscription capture, person profiles, default person properties and automatic crash capture are disabled. Analytics events are retained for no longer than 90 days. You can stop future analytics at any time in Settings → Privacy Center.
3. Advertising and consent
The ad-supported edition uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. Consent information is refreshed before the advertising SDK may request an ad. Octivale disables Google's publisher first-party identifier and publisher-controlled ad personalization, and does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency authorization.
Google may still process information such as IP address or coarse location derived from it, app or device identifiers, ad views and interactions, advertising data, crash logs, performance information and diagnostics for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency control, reporting, measurement and legal compliance. Where required, you can reopen advertising privacy choices from the in-app Privacy Center.
4. Purchases
The optional Octivale Premium Lifetime purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit. Octivale verifies the entitlement but does not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple's privacy terms apply to App Store transactions.
5. Support requests
If you voluntarily submit the support form, this website stores the email address, topic, message, optional device details and submission time you provide. This information is used only to investigate and respond to your request. It is not used for advertising or product analytics and is deleted within 180 days after the request is resolved, unless longer retention is required to establish or defend legal claims.
6. Service providers and international processing
Depending on your choices and the released configuration, information may be processed by Apple for App Store distribution and purchases, Google for consent management and advertising, PostHog for optional product analytics, and OpenAI Sites/Cloudflare for hosting this support website and its support-request database. These providers may process information in countries outside your own under their applicable contractual safeguards and privacy terms.
7. Retention, deletion and your choices
Local progress remains until app data is cleared or the app is removed. Analytics consent can be withdrawn in the Privacy Center. Advertising choices can be reopened there when required. To request deletion of analytics or support data, submit the support form with the topic Privacy or data request. Include the anonymous analytics installation identifier only if the app displays one in the relevant request flow; never send passwords or payment details.
8. Children
Octivale is a general-audience casual game and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child submitted personal information through the support form, choose Privacy or data request so it can be removed.
9. Changes and contact
Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where required, requesting consent again. Privacy questions, consent withdrawal requests and deletion requests can be sent through the official Octivale support form.
